I have a two camera shoot that produced 2 hours of footage. When I make the multiclip it spreads the footage out over 7+ hours leaving black between each clip. Is there a way to make a multiclip with the clips up against each other? I am doing it manually at the moment and getting annoyed.

That looks like a whole day’s worth of takes – multicam is designed to organize per take not entire shoots at a time. You’ll do better grouping the takes into smaller sets and making multicams out of that. Otherwise it will be assembled like this using time of day timecode and audio to affine. That or you leave both cameras running all the time.
