My company wants to begin doing online video for our website from a multicam studio environment. We already have Sony Z1U’s and an HD switcher that we use for our field work, but we wanted to be able to capture directly into Premiere CS4 so we can begin editing immediately.

We run component out of the switcher, but since this is going to be on the web, HD isn’t necessary. We do have a Canopus ADVC-110 box we’ve used in the past and I was wondering if it’s possible to run that box in Premiere (or Adobe OnLocation) in order to capture the program out from the switcher. We also have cables that go from component to s-video/composite, so we’d be able to connect those straight into the Canopus.

Does this setup sound like it would work with Production Premiere CS4?

    Thanks!

    Mike

    P.S.

In the past we’ve used a similar setup with Avid Xpress and the Avid Mojo being used in place of the Canopus, but since Premiere doesn’t have a Mojo, we’re hoping the Canopus would work instead.
