I’ve just used Multi-cam to make a series of cuts in my video… I forgot to balance audio before doing so so now its all cut into pieces and would take me forever to select each piece. (eg I have 4 sources and i need to just select all of the cuts that involve MC2’s audio.) Is there a certain thing i can do to select them all and balance them? If so please respond asap. 🙂 thanks

    – Place the audio from each clip onto the same track(s).
    – Create a submix track and in the Audio Mixer panel map the track(s) with the clips to the submix.
    – Adjust the audio submix track as desired.

Ivan, do mean place all the clips on one track, one after the other? You are describing a process that is all done in Pr , correct? Not in Au? Somtimes posts are not as clear as video. Thx. i’m sure I’ll face this at some time. Usually my sound tracks in multicam are not used for main audio track. I almost always record to an external recorder when shooting multiple camers. But you never know.

Cole, do you really need all the tracks individually? Often B cam audio is discarded.

The process is performed in Premiere Pro. The clips can be placed on multiple tracks. All tracks with the desired clips will need to be mapped to the submix track. Please refer to the following for more information:

Please provide more information, perhaps with a screen capture of your timeline, and more specific questions.

Yes I do need all of the audio. This is not like a 4 camera rig. Its 4 different pieces of gameplay.

As shown in the screen shot above, i have already cut the clips but i need to balance the audio. I dont want to go back and re-cut everything. Is there a easy way to do it?

    – Right-click on the track header area in the Timeline panel and select the option to add a new track. In the dialogue box, enter ‘0’ new video tracks, ‘0’ new audio tracks, and ‘1’ new audio submix track.

    – In the Audio Mixer panel, change the mapping of Audio 1 from “Master” to “Submix 1.”

    – In the Audio Mixer panel, adjust the volume and panning of Submix 1 as desired. This will change all of the clips in Audio Track 1.

    – If you would like to adjust the audio settings at different points in the sequence, go to the Timeline panel and add keyframes to the track for Audio Submix 1.

The link posted above provides more detailed instructions for each of these steps.

Ok so how do i change the levels of just one MC. For example, all the audio for MC3. Because all of the sources have different audio levels.

Create an audio track and an audio submix track for each camera and move the clips accordingly. For example, move audio for all MC1 clips onto audio track 1, and map the track to audio submix 1. Move the audio for all all MC2 clips to audio track 2, and map the track to audio submix 2. etc. Then adjust the submix tracks as required.

Ok i can do that but is there a way to select all of the cuts for one MC? I have over 300 cuts and it would take years to sort thru and drag everyone.
