Does anyone know if a standard 7200rpm firewire or usb 2 drive can handle 2 DV (not HDV) streams for multicam editing? If not, what about a esata drive? I’m running CS3 on my laptop and looking for a portable solution. I have an ASUS laptop with Centrino 2 processor, 4 GB RAM, 320GB 7200rpm HD, and a GeForce 9800 GS videocard.

That would and does work with 4 multicam angles. I do it with an External USB 2 5200 SATA drive.
    – Enjoy !

Great! How about capturing standard DV to it? I have a 7200 USB 2 drive. Also, how do you set your scratch disk preferences in CS3 when using it? Thanks for your help.
