Multicam Mix – Help Sought
I’m trying to make a multicam video mix, but am having problems.
Earlier on, I had a large window up which was showing me my live mix, and was positioned next to a smaller window containing the clips from which I was making my multicam video.
It’s now disappeared, so I can’t watch my mixes live or back once they’ve been recorded.
I’m not sure if my explanation is clear, so I’ve added a picture below. The first link is roughly where the window I’m talking about (and need!) was, the second shows my current set up that I can’t work out how to change.

That was probably the Trimmer window. Use View | Trimmer (Alt+2) to view the trimmer or right-click on any clip and select Open in Trimmer. Then dock the trimmer next to your preview window. You will also want to enable the Show Video Monitor button in the top right of the trimmer window to get a large view of your source footage just like the preview window.

Thanks for your response.
I’ve got the Trimmer next to the the Preview window.
However, when going to mix for the multicam video, nothing appears in the Trimmer window.
I’ve looked at the Preferences, the set up (having applied the defaults) is in the picture below. The Preview is set up for the ‘Windows Secondary Display’.

Also, I’ve got two video sources. Even when I mute the sound on one, during the multicam mix, if I click on the video with muted audio, the audio still plays. Is there anyway to amend this, so I Video 1 (No audio), Video 2 (+ audio) ?

Sorry I misunderstood what you wanted based on the picture you provided. Forget about the trimmer. You want to lay out your camera tracks on the timeline and then use Tools | Multicamera | Enable Multicamera Editing (Ctrl+Shift+D). Then select the video tracks you want to use and choose Tools | Multicamera | Create Multicmera Track. Then click on the track in the preview that you want to make active. You can read all about it in the help file.

John, I think we’ve become a bit confused here. The first response was the right direction – the second response regarding tools–>multicamera–>create multicamera mix is where I get up to before the problems begin.
I’m still stuck with the fact that when mixing the video, the two or more sources come up in the window on the far right of my screen, but the master video source (the final mix) does not appear anywhere. I’m creating mixes and videos without being able to replay them.

Earlier on, instead of pressing CTRL-Shift-D to alternate between the Multicam Video and the Final Mix view, I had two seperate windows.
Now I only have the multicam view, and I want to get the final mix view up next to it.

You have to use Ctrl+Shift+D to switch back and forth between the multi-camera and master view. There is no way that I know of to see both at once because they both use the preview window. That would be a great product suggestion though.
