Multicam HDV – edit in ProRes?
I’ve shot a performance using an Canon HV20, a Sony Z1 and a Sony EX1 in 1080i 50.
Are there any benefits for me transcoding to ProRes before editing? It’s pretty much a straightforward multicam report of this concert, nothing fancy. -

If all your video stream are in the same format your computer will appreciate it. It won’t have to work so hard. At times there are problems with multi-cam edits and multiple formats, however, it looks like yours are all 1080i50.
I may not have answered your question, just thinking out loud.
