    I’ve shot a performance using an Canon HV20, a Sony Z1 and a Sony EX1 in 1080i 50.
Are there any benefits for me transcoding to ProRes before editing? It’s pretty much a straightforward multicam report of this concert, nothing fancy.

If all your video stream are in the same format your computer will appreciate it. It won’t have to work so hard. At times there are problems with multi-cam edits and multiple formats, however, it looks like yours are all 1080i50.

I may not have answered your question, just thinking out loud.
