I am hoping there is an FCP Multicam editing expert here, because I can’t figure out what I did wrong.
It’s not working as it is supposed to, or rather I screwed it up so that it is not working as it was before.

When I have the Multiclip in the Viewer, and hit play, it only plays the active camera, I don’t get the split video view. When I cut something into the timeline and open that segment in the Viewer I get the split screen view, but can’t hear the audio. Or when I do get both as soon as I click on another camera angle to cut, the play stops and the entire clip on the timeline switches to the newly selected clip.

I was playing with the Options but can’t figure out how to get it back to normal again.

I have successfully edited a multiclip segment before, but I’m obviously missing something basic here.

If there is a way to reset multiclip settings to default somehow that would be helpful. Or if someone could point me to some useful resources on this type of editing, that would be great. I still don’t really understand what the options “Sync, Open, and Gang” actually do in both Viewer and Canvas.

    Thanks

OK, found the problem, I don’t know how I did it, but I toggled off “Multiclip Playback”. The only way I found the button was to grab the Multiclip Tool Bar out of the Tools menu. Then toggled it on.

Does anyone what the keyboard shortcut is for that. It would seem I inadvertantly pressed it.

    Thanks
