    Hello,

This is my first crack at Multicam Editing in FCP and it was going well for the first 5 edited minutes but then I had to re-sync the clips on a camera pick-up and it’s all falling apart!

    I’m having two problems:

    1) The video when playing back is dropping frames to the NTSC monitors via the AJA Io LA box, something that it never does in regular editing, although the video in the Viewer and Canvas windows is just fine.

    2) I’m now getting an error when I try to switch an angle that says “Insufficient content for edit”.

Is there an easy fix here or do I just need to re-sync a new Multiclip and try it again?

    Thanks in advance,
    -Pat

I have exactly the same problem – “Insufficient content for edit” message appears when trying to switch angles … it never happened to me before I upgraded to Snow Leopard …

Happened to me: the error message “insufficient content for edit” when changing angles in a multiclip in the timeline.

Only way I was able to fix it was to cut and delete the rest of the multiclip from the timeline, then find that exact point in the original multiclip in the browser, set an in point, and drag into the timelime.

I think the problem occurs when you shift the sync of the two clips of the multiclip in the timeline. Which should be a normal function.
Probably the way around it is to make sure the two clips are perfectly in sync before dragging to the timeline.
If it needs to be re-synced, maybe re-sync in the browser and drag in again making a cut in the timeline that the viewer won’t even realise.

Hi – it is really interesting.

I was editing with this “insufficient content for edit” issue, which was horrible – I had to do the cuts with razor blade. When I came to the end, I cut off the rest of the unnecessary footage and than I realized that the problem disappeared. I have to try it next time – maybe it is a solution – to cut off first the end part of the multiclip sequence and than it may work fine … strange thing.
