Multicam edit sequence clip not cutting

I had the same thing happen to me where it worked for awhile and then it didn’t work, and I didn’t do anything differently.

But there is a fix, according to genius dv:

You have to enable cutting ability instead of switch. The default is having to hold down the apple key when pressing the corresponding keypad number in order to cut between angles instead of switching between them. But obviously that’s lame, so…

You need to remap the number keys or whatever other keys you like on your keyboard from just switching angles to cutting by going to Tools / Keyboard Layout / Customize and changing the default keypad commands so they perform a cut edit instead of switching angles.

To do this, type the keyword “cut video” into the search box (do not press return). Then drag the corresponding “Cut Video to Angle #” to the appropriate keyboard shortcut key. *Make sure the keyboard is unlocked to make changes to the existing layout.
