    Hello,

I am currently trying to figure out adding clips that are out of sync to the multicam edit. I’ve been seraching the forums, but can’t put into words what I am doing.

First off, I do know how to sync the the clips via In-Out. My main problem is when a camera stops recording how do I add the clip in,

I guess why this is coming off as really confusing to explain.

For instance Angle1 is in its entirety
    Angle2 is in three pieces
and Angle3 is in two pieces

Unfortunately I haven’t figure out how to multicam all these angles without them being out of sync.

Any help would be great 🙂

I have one solution…but it is kind of a pain…

Put the video of your complete Angle1 in a timeline on the V1 track. on the V2 track, line up the the pieces of Angle 2 so that is syncs with Angle1. Do the same thing for Angle3 on V3.

Now – hide tracks 1 and 3 and export track 2. This will give you a complete track for Angle2 that will export black when there is no video playing. But when you re import this, you can now set the in point and sync it with Angle1.

Do the same thing for V3/angle 3.

I have done this, and although it is a bit tedious…it works.

I would have lined up the clips on a timeline as Brian says, then made three (or four if necessary) multiclips that have the angles in sync for as long as they stay in together, then typed the V1 timecodes that they stay together for into a Comments column and then chosen whichever multiclip was a appropriate one as source going down the track. That would mean that you could always get back to the original digitised clips, but actually, I think Brian’s solution is probably better.

TIme to invest in PLURALEYES. When cameras start and stop like that, you can’t make one multiclip. You’ll have to resort to stacking things in a sequence. Pluraleyes does that for you.
