Multicam Edit Audio Dropping Out/Loud Tone Sound
I’m editing a multicam sequence when and during playback it sounds normal for about 30 seconds before the audio drops out and is replaced with a continuous buzzing/tone sound. I’m editing on a brand new iMac Pro, so I wouldn’t think this would be an issue of my hardware not being able to keep up. I’ve listed all the information I can think to include that might be important. This is my first time posting on Creative Cow, so forgive me if I’ve left out information that you may need to understand the problem.
– Editing on base model 2017 iMac Pro
– 3 Camera multicam sequence, two Panasonic Gh5’s and a Gh4, all shot in 4k. The Gh5’s are recording 8bit
– Sequence is 4k 24fps with audio set to 48000 Hz
– Source clips are on a Samsung T5 SSD
– Project file, scratch disks, and media cache are on the iMacs drivePlease let me know what other information you need. Thanks so much!

Nope, I don’t have any plug-ins installed.

Your trying to playback 3 streams of 4K from one SSD drive. I’m guessing your media is some form of h264 to add to the trouble. How fast is your drive? I’m guessing this is your problem.
