Hi guys. I have 4 digitized clips, each clip digitized from a different tape. One tape was dubbed by some guy and he messed it up somehow so that FCP could digitize only the video, meaning I had to tell FCP specifically to NOT grab the audio when digitizing that clip. Let’s call this clip “#4” and the other clips “#1-3”. Clips #1-3 have both video and audio on them and both were digitized fine.

So again, #4 is JUST video. There’s no audio on it, and no “empty” audio tracks. It’s JUST a video track.

Anyways, so I take my 4 clips, set the proper in points to sync. Make my multicam clip using inpoints and the multicam clip is made. But when I put the multiclip into my timeline to dice it up, there’s no audio track! Even when I switch between the different angles, I still can’t get any audio to play. When I put the multiclip into the timeline, only a video track goes down, there’s no audio track present. How do I get my multiclip to have audio, or at least use the audio from Clips #1-3?

Select the clip in your viewer that has the audio before you drop the multiclip to the timeline. If you need audio from more than one camera, you need to bring those down to the timeline one at a time.
