Bit of a niggle issue in multi cam.

Every now and then even with a two camera multi cam project the little windows do not display the full frame that is displayed in the “canvas” (sorry what is the main biker called again?)

Workaround is to change view to 4 angles until same thing happens and then switch back to 2 angles. Etc. Etc.

As you can imagine it is mildly tedious.

I’ve tried trashing prefs … didn’t make any difference.

I think I had this issue back with older version and I am working in proxy so not quite sure what the problem is. Working on quite an old iMac could be the issue? No other performance issues though.

    What do they display?

Cropped images. Intermittent “buggy” problem. Sometimes it doesn’t happen. Then sometimes it happens all the time.

Can you post a grab when it does happen?

I’ve had this happen through some combination of the following:

    Mixed resolution source files
    Image scaling set to “none”
Switching the resolution of the multicam after it’s made

    Are you mixing resolutions?

Sure. It hasn’t happened today. Yesterday all the time! Thanks.

No I’m not mixing resolutions but I am switching to View Proxy having created the multicam clip and dropped it into a project. I have created proxy files on Import. Hmmm. Wonder of thats it? Trouble is it does not much like the original files and I have not created Optimised Media on import but I have inadvertently been creating Optimised Media by leaving box checked in prefs (thanks Jeremy)

When you say “Image Scaling” what do you mean exactly please? I usually have mine set to “Fit”in the canvas/viewer window…no option for none. Do you mean something else I wonder?

    Many thanks

    James

Sorry, I meant to say Spatial Conform. But if you aren’t mixing resolutions then sounds like you’re having a different problem.

It looks to me like you have the clip scaled up in the angle editor, and then scaled back down in the timeline. Or something like that.
