before i start down the road can i ask if anyone has had to do the following

i have a 5 camera multi cam studio shoot which i have been cutting very happily with vers5 and the fantastic multicam feature

today i had to cut a sequence with 2 of the 5 cameras in that system to get it out to the TV station for promo purposes. now i want to press on using those edits as a base and add the other 3 cameras?

    whats the best approach?

One way would be to Export your 2-Camera version as a Quicktime Movie (I’d choose “Self Contained), then bring that Movie back into FCP, make it one of your “sources” (in place of a camera) and sync the other camera tapes to it.

I believe you can add the other 3 cameras to your multi-clips, even after you’ve done a first pass. Check the manual on this.
