    Hi.

I’ve been planning to buy the MB Studio, but the PCI-X card not being there sorta makes me look for other options.

I plan to buy a quad or similar before a year, but I need to get shop up and running before.

    What I need to do:

Video (SD/HD Uncompressed from digibeta and HDCAM + DVCPRO HD)
Monitoring to LCD via DVI (Cannot afford another solution at the moment)
    Audio monitoring for 5.1 mixes

Also up- and downrez would be nice, as these are transitional times (SD to HD, 720 to 1080 and vice versa)

I am building a new audio studio and a post-lab.

I see that the multibridge has 16 channels of SDI audio. How do I access these audio channels? Which format does they translate to? AES/EBU?

Is there a host card with the multibridge that I can later switch from PCI-X to PCIe?

Will Decklink HD pro + HD link fit my bill?
What extras will i need for audio?

    Or the Multibridge + HD-link?

I know the AJA cards does the up and downrez, but I’ve been warned about problems in PAL land with those.

I’ll be working in FCP studio, Cubase SX and perhaps at a later date later also in Nuendo, Shake and After Effects…

    Thanks for all answers!
