Just set up my new MacPro 2.8GHz quad-core with a Multibridge Pro.
Everything seems to work fine, except for one minor yet annoying issue.
It seems that everything I switch between FCP 6 and any other program or even the Finder, the Multibridge seems to ‘refresh.’ There is some sort of interruption in the audio/video signal for about a second and then everything goes back to normal.
So for example, I’m working in FCP…then I switch to the Finder…then I go back to FCP. When I start playing any video clip, after about 2 seconds, my signal is interrupted. The audio/video stutters for about a second or less and then it’s fine.
BTW, I get a ‘No Sync’ message on my NTSC monitor when I switch out of FCP.
Since I switch between apps a lot, this gets to be really annoying.
    Could anyone offer any help?

    Hi,

Multibridge Pro has a “video desktop” output option in the Finder which may have a different resolution from the one you’re actively working in. This explains why there is an interruption when you switch between apps in OS X. YOu can change this resolution from the Displays preferences in OS X. You may have to click on the “Gather Windows” button to get the “Television” resolution of the Multibridge Pro to appear in your computer monitor, especially if the Multibridge Pro is outputting HD and you’ve only got an SD monitor connected.

    regards
