    Hi,

Sorry if I’m duplicating a query, but I’ve searched the cow and the blackmagic website but couldn’t find an answer.

A colleague of mine bought a Multibridge Pro for use as a standalone converter, going from HD-SDI to SD-SDI. They tell me it’s not possible for the MB to do that, so I thought I’d have a go with it as I’m a bit more familiar with blackmagic stuff.

I updated the firmware, but my results seem to backup what they say. I’ve been feeding an HD feed to the MB SDI Input from a HDW-D2000 HD output, and then outputting the SDI output to a DVW-500, but I’m getting no output.

If I change the HD feed into the MB to an SD feed, then the convert works fine (not a convert I know, but shows the MB is working).

There don’t appear to be any settings in the MB Utility software to change from what I can find, I presume it would auto detect if it was possible. I was hoping for some clarification as to whether the MB Pro is capable of downconverting HD to SD as a standalone unit.

    Thanks for your help
    Peter
