    Hello,

our company is about to buy a new video card. The Blackmagic Multibridge Pro sounds good to me. Because we prefere external devices. We are editing SD video (mainly from Betacam SP) in Premiere Pro and After FX.

Of course those marketing “facts” on official product websites are always nice to read.
But I prefere to read some field reports as well.

So – is there someone who uses a Mutlibridge in daily use? Are you satisfied with it? Or should I better have a look at other video cards (AJA XENA LSe, Bluefish444 SD Greed)?

    Regards,
    Mirko

We have a Multibridge Extreme. With this box alone, we’ve been able to have the mose seemless I/O workflow. We can ingest any format, and output and monitor any format and framerate. Changing your settings in Final Cut is as simple as choosing an output format via a menu, and we have the flexibility to ingest, and edit any format that has come across our facilty, from DV, BetaSP, to DigitalBetacam, even DVCPRO HD shot at 720p24pn. We’re also looking forward to landing our first 2K project as well, since we can output and monitor 2K with this box as well.

We’ve had no downtime what so ever. It’s been on 24-7 for months. I know that Premiere Pro and After Effects has full support with this product as well.
