We just lost our second Multibridge power supply. This one lasted a month. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

It wouldn’d be so bad if I could get a local replacement but it has a connector that is similar to a Y/C video connector and there is nothing else that works.

I wonder how long we will be down this time before a new one arrives.

We were supposed to receive our MB Extreme by now for the new Quad machine. I’d better get a few dozen power supplies while we’re at it.

Its that dry heat that kills those power supplies Steve. Trying pouring water on the next one…

That’s the first thinh I tried.
Now, as a matter of fact, I tested the power supply and it shows the correct voltage on all of the connections. I guess the Multi has just gone tits up.

And now, the Bridge is back to operating. I wonder if I have an intermittant power problem? Or maybe, I have simply gone insane.

You see Steve, just add water, that always seems to cure most intermittant electronics issues.

I don’t know what kind of power supply the Multibridge uses but if the only problem is the connector and you can find a local power supply with the right voltage etc., you could cut the cable and connector off the bad supply and solder up some kind of “adaptor cable” to use the good local power supply. It might get you through an emergency while you’re waiting for a replacement from BMD.

    Steve,

I had a bad power supply on my Multibridge, Vegas did replace it, but what I noticed was the female AC cable going into the transformer did not fit that snug. That be your issue.
