  Multibridge Extreme: update please

  To Luke, Matt and the rest of the BMD crew,

  You stated this almost a month ago:

  [Grant Petty] “Multibridge Extreme has been delayed and has not shipped yet. The good news is we are just about complete on this product, and think it’s only a week or two away at the most. We are starting to build production units today. However we want to make sure everything is well tested before shipping, so we expect another week of testing before everything is checked out.

  I will let you know over the next week or two as the new PCIe versions of our products are released.”

  Now, to date, there’s still been no announcement. Furthermore, requests for further information on this forum have largely been ignored. I’m sure there are lots of people out there who, like us, are excited by the new products and want to get their hands on them. We’ve been Blackmagic users from the very first Decklink board and are big fans. I also understand that you want to get the product right before shipping it. But I do think you’re shooting yourselves in the foot by promising to give us updates, and not delivering on that.

  For example, we need to order a capture board in the next couple of weeks. I’d prefer to get a Multibridge, but work comes first (obviously) and if we can make money from someone else’s PCI express products then we will.

  So, Blackmagic, we love you but:

  Can you please tell us when the Multibridge will, or will not, arrive???
