    Hi guys,

Captured on Multibridge Extreme with Uncompressed 8bit and now trying to open this on a PC in combustion4. While opening in qt player shows the video it does not show up in combustion. Any hints?

    Thanks,
    Janis

Hmmm — getting the “big grey X flag” in Combustion?

I’ve found in C* 4, with the recent BM codecs, there are 2 codecs which work in Combustion. One is 8bit Yuv, and the other isn’t.
Seriously, I can’t remember from my testing, but I think it’s 10bit RGB (4:4:4). You can do a quick transcode from the uncompressed QT with QTPro, with almost zero change in the image.

The best thing to do would be to try transcoding to each of the available QT codecs in QTPro and see which ones work for you.

Now, if you can find a way to write a DeckLink AVI file *out* of Combustion, let me know!!

    Hey Jeff,

Thanks so much for making everything crystal clear 🙂
I have already cut everything in sequences and was only wondering about making this deckling thing workflow, you know. We have some multibridges and extremes here and there so for the future I will remember this.

    Cheers,
    great forum!
