Multibridge Extreme multitasking
I am still wondering if Multibridge Extreme can perform 2 tasks at once. I my case I would like to take the component out of a betacam deck, use Multibridge to convert that to SDI, route that through the nifty Teranex Mini SD to HD converter, then take the HD output of the Teranex into the SDI input of the Mutibridge and into the Mac for editing- all in one pass. Luke said a while ago that he didn’t know if it was possible as the ME was not yet shipping. I know this could be done with a standard multibridge and an HD Decklik card but the Extreme is so much tidier, as well as compatible with the new Macs. So… how ’bout it? (Or better yet, built-in SD to HD up conversion line the Kona2 has…)
