Multibridge Eclipse – SDI Output Problem
Hi everyone,
Has anyone else experienced this problem with the Eclipse?
When I leave our MB powered for a few days continuously (say, over a weekend), I often find the SD-SDI output stops working. The other outputs continue to work fine – and since most of our monitoring is done via HDMI or component, this problem usually goes unnoticed until we output to tape. I’ve also had instances of this glitch affecting the SDI input – but not as frequently.
I’ve tried all the obvious stuff:
– Toggling the video output in FCP
– Toggling input and output modes in the Decklink Preferences
– Switching between HD and SD (Most of our projects are SD)I’ve also found that rebooting the Mac doesn’t always fix the problem. I usually have to power down both the Mac and the MB. (Is there a way to restart the MB without restarting the Mac?)
I know the obvious fix for this is to powerdown at the end of each day – but it isn’t always practical to do this (Overnight encoding, out of hours use, etc)
Has anyone else experienced this?
Kind regards,
Oli Trenouth.
