    Howdy all,

I am wondering if Premiere Pro has available a “multi-trim” function. I am new to PP and previously used Corel VideoStudio. In VS I could click on “Multi-Trim” which opened a new source monitor. I could then set MULTIPLE in and out points throughout the source video. Once I was done, I would then click OK and it would break up everything (as directed by the in and out points) into various clips.

For a lot of my projects this is a far more effective way of getting out the clips I want as opposed to setting 1 in point, 1 out point, and then taking one clip at a time.

Also, is there anyway to utilize the After Effect text presets in PP without creating an AF project? It’s seems kind of ridiculous that PP has only still and roll effects while AF has a multitude of text options.

Thanks for all of your help. Y’all are great!!!

    John

With a clip loaded into the source viewer, mark and in and out and then choose make subclip from the Clip menu.

This function can also be mapped to the keyboard.

Should be pretty quick to split up a source for ya…
