Multi Tasking In Vegas
Posted by Dave Petteruto on November 19, 2007 at 10:19 pmHello All,
Is it safe to work in Vegas at the same time as using Vegas to capture video or render? I’m using Vegas 7 on an AMD 64 Athlon dual processor machine. Thanks

November 19, 2007 at 10:39 pmWe do this fairly regularly, but bear in mind that if your system resources aren’t up to par, then capturing while editing or rendering will be out of the question.
Rendering and editing at the same time is easy/commonDouglas Spotted Eagle

November 20, 2007 at 7:33 pmIn theory yes, but, as Edward said above “it depends on your machine”.
Why not try it and see for yourself?
Then you’ll know if it’s possible or not. -

November 21, 2007 at 11:15 pmThanks for the info. I was aware that Vegas could be opened multiple times, but was just not sure how much background activity I could get away with. I will do as you suggest and run some tests.
Happy Thanksgiving.
