Multi-Processing Settings that Work?
Hey guys!
So a while back I made a post about using multiprocessing in After Effects CS5.5. Back then I only had 8 gigs of RAM and everyone told me in order for Multi Frame processing to really work, I needed more. Soo! I upgraded to 16gigs… and I’m still having a problem with it.I was wondering if anyone would be up to explaining for me, and other users, how to tweak these settings to work the best on your system.
The problem I am having is that it seems to stay on “background process status, Loading projects….” for quite sometime, then it starts rendering frame, but it really dose not seem much faster then without, especially after the wait time of “Loading Projects”.
Here is what I running:
Asus g74sx Laptop
Windows 7 64bit
Quadcore Intel i7
16gigs RAM (all Samsung 204pin)
Nvidia Geforce GTX 560m +2gig ramHere is my current MP settings in AE:
Installed CPU (processor cores): 8
CPU reserved for other applications: 1
RAM allocation per background CPU: 2I do have open GL turned on. Dont know how much that effects this.
I donno know, what do you guys think? lets talk about it. =)
