I know how to render with multiple machines but the only way I know how to do it is by collecting the files into a watch folder.

Is this the only way to do this? Every time one wants to render on multiple machines you have to collect all the files again? I have a project that is huge and it can take 20-30 min to collect the file… not to mention a loss of HD space to do it.

    Any alternatives?

    Thanks!

Ahh nevermind, No reason to collect all the files.. I see you can either collect just the comps to be rendered or just export the project file to the watch folder.. Easy enough.

Oh shoot, spoke too soon.. I can only seem to get multi Machine working if all the files have been collected into the watch folder.. What weird way of doing this..

Any other way of using multi machine without having to collect all the files into the watch folder? Or maybe I can work form the watch folder and still not have to collect all files?
