    Hi y’all

my band just did a gig that was recorded by a friend who works for the BBC and he’s given me the 4 cameras tapes to edit together..

it was all going ok until I got to the multi-camera editing bit.. uncharted territory..
anyway, I managed to get the takes synced (I thought) and make a camera edit track where you can pick which one of the takes to use.. great.

BUT, the thing is, how do I switch back to the 4 channel view in the project window so that I can re sync one of the takes??

I’ve tried reading the manual but it doesn’t seem to cover this, it just tells me how I can go in and out of multicamera editing mode, but nothing I do takes me back to where I had the 4 video chanels spaced out sequentially where I’d be able to nudge them along etc..

It’s probably a simple question but it’s holding up the whole caboodle!!

    Thanks

    Andy

    there isn’t a way to go back……….

my kneejerk reaction is always to duplicate the tracks that will be multicammed BEFORE turning it on, that way I have the ‘originals’ to work with if needs be.

    sorry, tis true.

excalibur & ultimate S avoid this hassle.

yeah I thought that might be the case.. I went back and re synced it all from the start.. which was no easy task as some of the tapes stop half way through and one didnt have sound most of the way through!! so it was a case of bruce lee lip syncing!!

oh well. thats a stupid design.

    thanks for your help
