situ: 7 spots all have 2 channel stereo mixes, but 4 spots have 3 channel mono splits. I’ve been working in a 2 channel timeline.

I can’t seem to get FCP to map “A3” to audio output 3. On my audio tool I can see 4 outputs, but FCP maps everything to channels 1/2. I’ve moved my A3 audio down to other layers to no avail. I can make a new sequence and have 4 channels of audio, but can’t seem to get FCP to map A3 to output 3 no matter what I do.

There must be an easy way. I don’t do this often.

    Thanks for help!

Ok, I got it jimmy rigged. if I make a new sequence with 8 audio tracks, and copy/paste my timeline… then A1 goes out to 1, A2 goes out to 2, and A7 goes out to 3.

    I’m confused. but it works

What’s up, Aaron haven’t seen you around in a bit.

    Let me get this straight.

In your timeline, your have opened the sequence settings and chose 4 outputs in the Audio output tab?

You leave ch 1&2 stereo, and channels 3 & 4 as dual mono?

Then you right click click just under the track lock of A3 and you can’t get the Audio Outputs > 3 menu?

    Weeks later I’m back!

Thanks Jeremy, that was exactly it. Had no idea that drop menu existed!
