MTS, M2TS, MP4, AVI….Client has left me a big pain

AppGeeker is another pretty nice program for converting MTS/M2TS/MP4,etc. to mutiple file formats.
It takes advantage of the container thing and so is very fast for converting.

If you’re not sure what settings to use you can always load a video that plays Ok and check the properties.
