    I’ve been using mpg1 as standard for both Mac and PC users of small video clips for years now, but have just been told that the latest security patch for PPT prevents then playing.

    Is this the case? Are MS forcing the community to wmv files?

    I’m using office 2003 hungarian version.
    It is fully patched afaik.

    I tried now, and yes, it plays mpeg1 video.

    thanks Laszlo, perhaps I’m just panicing but for my work it would truely be a disaster.
