I need to export spots in the .mpg format using Compressor for a local cable channel. I’ve done this in the past but, for the life of me, I can’t remember just how I managed to do it. Must be having a Senior Moment here this Friday afternoon.
There was a post a while ago on the Cow about making an .m2t and then converting to an .mpg using Streamclip. I tried searching the archives but didn’t come up with the post I’m thinking of.
I’m still running Compressor 2.3, BTW.
Anyone got a good work flow using a slightly aged version of Compressor?
    Thanks in advance.

Compressor 2 does not have the option to make a program stream MPEG-2. It can only generate an elemental stream m2v or a transport stream m2t.

When you select your video format, for example 60 minutes best, go to the extra tab and check multiplexed MPEG. This gonna create a transport stream.

Right. I’ve gotten it this far. This will create an m2t file type. I’m looking for a way to then use the m2t and convert it to a .mpg file. I remember some months ago there was a similar thread that then went to add a post explaining what needed to be done to convert the transport stream into a .mpg. I believe it involved dragging it through Streamclip. I just don’t remember what the step was to do the conversion.
All this just to appease the cable guys. Sheesh…
