Mpg files compatible with PC/Media Shout software
I work on a Mac using Premiere Pro. I have been rendering mpeg2 files to use on a PC in Media Shout. We recently purchased a new PC and are using Media Shout on it, where I send and show my mpeg files in a presentation. The problem is this: we are not able to hear audio on these files we make from Premiere Pro over Media Shout. The video is fine but no audio. This was last week.
As of today, however, there is a new twist.
One of our attempts to fix this problem was to install a PC version of Premiere Pro on the new PC. The mpeg2 files work just fine in Media Shout. Our question is this: What does Premiere Pro have that enabled this to work? And what is different about my mpeg files that will not let them play on a PC that does not have Premiere Pro on it? Is it Media Shout or my mpegs made on a Mac? -

Could be the default setting of Mac Vs PC exporting from PProCS3. You must be certain that the mpeg2 format you are using has got the embedded audio in it – mpg (PC default) and not spitting out a separate file for audio like, m2v is video only and ac3 audio only. Make sure the audio is ticked to be in the export and the mac export is set to mpg not m2v.
