I just had CS6 installed on my computer and I’m bringing in a sequence from CS5 and it won’t read any of the mpeg files. When I try to link the files I get a message saying it can’t read or compress the file. Does CS6 not read mgpegs?

    Hi Rodney,
Try this. Go to Premiere Pro and choose Help > Deactivate. Restart Premiere Pro. Choose Help > Activate. See if that does the trick for you.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

    Hi Kevin,

When I go to Help “Deactivate” is grayed out. How do I get it highlighted?

    Thanks!

    Hi Rodney,

Looks like you may be running Premiere in TRIAL mode, therefore some codecs are unavailable due to royalty/licensing issues. When you launch Premiere, does a screen come up asking you to “Sign In” or similar? Register/Activate the software and that ought to do it.

    Thanks
