    Hello,
I have a client asking for numerous file formats from and HD Master. The one that is throwing me off is:
MPEG4 TS. There is a request for MPEG4 HD, and MPEG4 TS HD. I don’t seem to have any area in any of my programs to create a Transport Stream MPEG4 vs a standard MPEG4. What is the difference, and what can I use to create it? Currently I use –
    Adobe Media Encoder CS5
    Adobe After Effects CS5
    Sorenson Squeeze 4.5
None of these apps gives me the options.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Mike Goldberg

I’ve used the ‘Streaming/Exporting Wizard’in VLC to make transport streams from my mp4 videos. The difference is in the container. It enables some hardware devices to playback the video more efficiently. I have to use ts files for my Roku media players.
VLC is free and multi-platform. When exporting through VLC ignore the ‘transcode’ option and go to the next step, you will see the mpeg ts option there. It is a relatively quick process as you will not be transcoding the file.
