    hello guys

I am new to Compressor, I am exporting my FCP timeline to Compressor and making an mpeg2 for DVD STUDIO PRO. My research has told me that I must use an Elementary stream(which does not include audio!) if I want this file to be an asset in DVD STUDIO. I was successful making the mpeg2, which includes no audio. I tried adding audio separately as Quicktime audio in DVD STUDIO along with the m2v but there is not enough room on the disc!

What is the best way to include audio in my file for use with DVD STUDIO PRO ?

When I choose “DVD: best settings for 120 min MPEG2” in the settings tab
that is calculating the file to make sure it will fit on my disc, but when I do audio separately I have no way of knowing if the combined audio and video will fit on the disc ??

Getting pretty perplexed please help !

You’re right in that you’ll bring your audio and video in on separate tracks. If you’re video is less than 120 mins and you’re using the DVD Best Settings 120 mins for m2v video and dolby digital audio (you have to drag both the audio and video settings up), those files will fit onto a DVD. What are you doing when you import into DVD SP?
