    Hi Forumers,

I’m in a bit over my head here. O don’t know a lot oabout encoding/compression for Mpeg2, and have a client with the following needs.

    Mpeg2 Video Size : 15 mbps CBR
Mpeg2 Transport Stream: 18 mbps (CBR Transport Stream)
resolution 720×480 (native size of original media)
Chroma subsampling 4:2:2 (will this be an issue if the original material is DV/DVCam?)
    Audio: Embedded AC3 (2 channel)
    Audio Bitrate: 192 kbps
    Encoding Specification: CableLabs VOD 1.1

Basically I was wondering if Compressor can handle this type of content creation, or do I need another piece of software to manage it?

    Thanks in advance!

No it can’t. I’m not sure if Episode or any other Mac application can.

CarbonCoder from Rhozet can deal with that easily though.
