  Mpeg2 problems

  I’ve been given some minicam footage which has been recorded to a Compact Flashcard in MPEG2 format for use in a DV PAL project on FCP6.0
  I’ve had problems getting the FFMPEG converter to work (specifically problems with the binary components), and so have tried converting footage to .mov (DV PAL, 720×576, 25fps) which leaves me with no audio. Plus this is a slow process.
  Does anyone have any suggestions for a fast and efficient way of handling mpeg2s in FCP?
