MPEG2 Handles?
Hey Guys,
I’m authoring a DVD and was wondering how much black/handles I should export before and after my clip. I guess it probably depends on I-P-B frame settings I use, but I was wondering if anyone has had luck with 10 frames? 30 frames?
I’m doing motion menus and motion transitions…and I want them to be as quick as possible so I need to eliminate any lag time of hanging on a still frame.

I typically do a fade up from about 1 second of black just to be on the safe side.

For main video I normally put 2 seconds of silence. Seems like seem players take a bit to ramp up the audio. This is not a major thing and is a preference habit for me. If I’m trying to do a menu transition I don’t do it, but I also don’t do many menu transitions.
