Hi guys, I need some insights regarding MPEG2 encoding from FCP.

My client has requested a MPEG2 transport stream file from my edit, which is at 1080I 1920×1080. When i sent my sequence into compressor 2, the max bit rate i can set to is 29mbps but he has requested for 50mbps. Can compressor 3 encode MPEG2 at 50mbps or is there other softwares available?

    Thanks in advance.

Looks like the highest bit rate you can do in compressor 3 is 40kbps….

Episode Pro will allow for the higher bit rate I know. Don’t know about any others…
