I have a client who is requesting a 640×432 MPEG1 file. Compressor won’t allow mpeg1 any larger than 320×240. Any suggestions how to accomplish this on the Mac other that purchasing an expensive encoder?

    thanks

I can go bigger in Cleaner 6.5.1. Have you tried MpegStreamclip at http://www.square5.com?

I’d recommend either ffmpegX or VisualHub. You should be able to encode to whatever MPEG-1 size you wish with those apps and they are very inexpensive.
