I have always used MPEG Stream clip to convert footage over to Apple prores when the footage was shot on an SD card. I have a data DVD from a client now and when I try and use MPEG Stream clip it is taking forever to even get to 1%

I hope you’re copying the files to a hard drive before transcoding in MPEG Streamclip? If not, that’s the issue.

I’m not above basic help so any theories are much appreciated but yes I drug the files off the data DVD and am using those drug files. It’s been a few hours and I’m at 6% so obviously this won’t work
    Tried handbrake
    Tried QuickTime
    Neither
