mpeg camcorder
I imported a video clip from my camcorder, mpeg 2. when put on the timeline thre was no audio Vegas 8 (desk top)
When I brought in the exact same clip into Vegas 8 on my laptop the video and audio where there with no problem. I rendered to avi, brougth it back into Vegas on my desk top, emailed out.
How do I figure out what’s up with the desktop Vegas 8? something must have happened to the codec? How do I go about repairing the problem…….

Use a utility like GSpot to determine what audio codec is being used. Then install that codec on the PC that doesn’t have it.
