Hi. I am playing around with my HD video to see how I can downsize the video size while maintaining Good HD quality.
Since I am not familiar with the compression I would appreciate if you could throw in some ideas and suggestions.

I just realized that MPEG-4 compression can make the video very light.
But it does loose the video quality. So I am playing with the compression setting to see how much I can

I exported the video as mov file with MPEG-4 Compression so I can open the file with FCP.
Frame rate is set as current and key frames every 24 frames and data rate restrict to 6400 kbits/sec
Compressor quality is set as Best.

I have very poor understanding of video compression and how MPEG-4 compression works so could you suggest the key frames and data rate to better the video quality?
I want to see how big the file would become if I maximize the video quality and maybe I can go from there.

Here are the additional specifications of what I am dealing with
    Camera used: HMC-150 (1980×1080 21MBPS)
Length of the footage: edited down to 15 minutes
    Editing software: FCP X
Computer: Macbook Pro Mac OS X 10.7.2
