    Hi There,

i am using Final Cut 7 and I need to export an mpeg 2 file-I assume the best way to do this is through Compressor-which I know very little about!

The settings I need to use are as follows:

Can you advise how I can do it, as I cannot see anywhere on Compressor to use these exact formats.
    Many thanks for any help!

Yes, this is done in Compressor.

Under the SETTINGS tab, open the APPLE folder, then the FORMATS folder, then the MPEG-2 folder. In there you’ll see three settings, Elementary Stream, PROGRAM STREAM, and Transport stream. Choose Program Stream.

Thank you Shane-I tried that but the client said I needed to up the
audio bit rate needs reducing and the video bit rate needs increasing.

    How can I do that?
    Many thanks

The default video bit rate is 15Mbps…that matches the spec they supplied. Now they said they want it higher? What do they want? You can go into the video settings in the INSPECTOR and change that to what they want. Audio…I don’t see any way to change that using Compressor…even the new one. So if they want that changed, you might need to use a different encoder…like Episode.
