MPEG-2 Output – no audio on the PC side
I’ve exported a perfect-looking MPEG-2 compressed file from After Effects CS3 using a MAC running OS10.
The MPEG-2 file plays fine in Quicktime on 2 Macs (video and audio),
won’t open at all on another Mac,
and plays video but no audio in Windows Media Player on my PC.The ultimate use for the MPEG-2 file is for insertion into a PowerPoint presentation on low-end PCs.

Good leads. Thank you. But I can’t help but wonder why AE’s codec won’t work. It seems very odd that it plays on some Macs, not others, and only audio on PC. This is the kind of challenge that will drive me crazy until I figure out the answer. But a deadline awaits! On to MPEG Streamclip…
