    Hello-

I just received a number of Mpeg-2 clips to edit on a Data DVD. As they came to me, the clips have no audio- not that I can’t here it, but when I pull them into FCP there is no audio there. However, when I export the files with Mpeg Streamclip to a .mov file, there is magically audio. I’d rather not have to export all the files- am I not doing something that would allow me to hear the audio in the raw Mpeg-2 files?

    Thanks,

    Smith

The raw MPEG-2 file do not have separate audio tracks. You have to demux it in Streamclip. There is a batch function in Streamclip that should make this fairly painless.

    All the best,

    Tom
