I just recently upgraded to FCP 5. I’m trying export my sequence to author a DVD in DVD Studio Pro 4. However, I’m having a problem exporting my sequence as a mpeg 2. Every time I try to do it I get a warning window saying, “Not Rendered: The movie must be rendered before it can be encoded.”

The strange part about it is that I rendered everything. I don’t see any unrendered clips in my timeline.

Has anyone else run into this problem? If so, how did you solve it?

    Thanks.

Make sure you don’t have any real-time previews that aren’t rendered.

I checked and double checked the sequence and everything is rendered.

You may have got this sorted, but for anyone else who has this problem I have found a remedy. Go to Sequence, Render All, and put a tick by “FULL”. This allows for a full render of everything. For some reason FCP5 defaults to this not being selected. Hope this helps!

    Martin.
