I have a client that needs me to convert a video to these specs and I’m having quite a bit of trouble with it.

    MPEG-2 422@ML 4:2:2
    50 mbps / Frame Only

I havent listed the rest of the specs because I’m not having any trouble with any of them, other than the bit rate

I’m on a G5 and the only real compression program I have (other than MPEG Streamclip) is Compressor 3.5.1 and I cant seem to change the bit rate. Compressor makes it 15 mbps and I don’t know how to make it higher.

I don’t know much about MPEG-2’s and I thought they were only used for DVD’s. I cant seem to find any info about broadcast quality MPEG-2’s. i would appreciate some help on just learning about them.

    Thanks

You can’t do 50Mb/s iframe only in compressor. I believe you can with Episode pro
