    MP4 Popping

    I downloaded an MP4 from YouTube to bring into FCPX. The file plays great outside of FCPX, but when I import it and play it within FCPX, there’s lots of audio pops. I burned the file to a DVD and played on a DVD player and the pops were still there.
    Why is this happening and how do I fix?

    FCPX doesn’t play nicely with MP4’s anymore than FCP7 did – convert the audio to WAV or AIFF before trying to edit with it.
